Abstract submission

  1. General information

The participants of the 1st Conference of the Section of Dermoscopy and Other Skin Imaging Techniques (DiTOS) of the Polish Dermatological Society will have the opportunity of presenting their original papers and case reports in the form of electronic posters or oral presentations.

  • Abstract will be accepted via the Conference website until 30 January 2019, according to the instructions below:
  • Abstracts can be submitted only via the online registration system available on the Conference website;
  • To submit an abstract, please register to the Conference website as a participant, using the Registration tab and submit your paper;
  • Abstract will be accepted only in Polish;
  • Submitted abstracts must not have been published or presented on meetings, congresses and national conferences;
  • Abstract should contain basic details of the study: aim, methods, results and conclusions. Common abbreviations may be used unexplained, while others should be explained. When mentioning drugs, their names should be in line with the international nomenclature;
  • Abstracts in a form of case report are also accepted: introduction, case presentation, discussion, conclusions ;
  • Papers received after 30 January 2019, or sent by surface mail, fax or email will not be accepted.
  • All submitted abstracts will be evaluated by reviewers chosen from the Scientific Conference Committee, and the decision about their acceptation and qualification to poster or oral presentation will be sent via e-mail.
  1. Deadlines
  • Each submitted abstract will be evaluated on an anonymous basis by independent reviewers not later than 12 February 2019;
  • The authors will be notified of the acceptance or rejection of their paper and the form of the presentation not later than 19 February 2019.


  1. Contents and structure of the paper

Papers submitted in Polish should be divided into following sections:

1. Title (no abbreviations, IN CAPITAL LETTERS) in Polish and English;

2. Family names and initials of all authors;

3. Details of affiliation of all authors; institution, city, country;

4. The body of the abstract should include a brief introduction and aim of the study, according to above instruction. Description of the material and methods, results and conclusions). The abstract should not exceed 4000 characters, including spaces and tables.

5. Category: original paper, case report;

6. Figures and photographs included should be original, be the property of the authors and without any features enabling patients’ identification. Do not include drawings, institution address (street address, postal code), scientific degrees or names of the grants sponsoring the study or the references.


  1. How to submit a paper?

To submit an abstract, please register to the Conference website as a participant (“Registration” tab or the link below).



The acceptance of the paper for presentation and subsequent publication is conditional upon payment of the registration fee. Abstracts that do not meet the above criteria will be rejected.


  1. Abstracts accepted for the oral/poster presentation will be published in Forum Dermatologicum Journal.


  1. Papers accepted for the poster presentation will require preparation of a poster in an electronic version according to the following guidelines:
  • Prepare computer graphic with 1080 pixels (width) x 1920 pixels (height) in JPG format (other formats will not be accepted);
  • Submit the correctly prepared file;
  • The posters should be submitted between 14 February and 5 March 2019 (until the end of the day). Posters submitted after this deadline will not be displayed during the Conference;
  • To submit your poster, please log in the ESOK system (www.ditos2019.konferencje.viamedica.pl) and select “Abstracts”. When submitting more than one abstract, please choose the proper one and select “Add poster”;
  • Select the proper file with the poster in JPG format (1080 x 1920 pixels; other formats will not be accepted) from your disc and click “Chose file”;
  • After uploading the file, please check all the details: title, submitter, authors. You can edit your data here;
  • Click Save button to save the poster and all the data identifying the poster and the authors;
  • You can edit and correct the data until 5 March 2019.


You will be able to update and/or make changes to your submitted abstract until the submission deadline, using your email address and password which will be provided for you upon completing your submission.
